Today is the anniversary of the little lamb. On 24th May 1830 the Boston firm Marsh, Capen & Lyon published the original nursery rhyme written by Sarah Josepha Hale.
It has spawned many an imitation, my current favorite is this
Mary had a little lamb
She took it once to bed.
The lamb turned out to be a ram
Mary had a little lamb.
