Tata Lizard …

Gilbert’s Dragon (Amphibolurus gilberti) is one of the icons of Broome. Popularly known as the Tata Lizard because when resting they often wave an arm. They rarely let you get close, they race away on their hind legs. This one is a mature male, the females are drab imitations.
