A slice of golden goose anyone?
No country was ever taxed itself to prosperity. Wealth is grown, mined, manufactured, earned. Business makes money, money makes prosperity. In a prosperous nation health, education and welfare are affordable.
This budget slugs business to provide the funds that might just persuade the poor to vote Labor again. It’s not about surplus, it’s not about growth.
It breaks faith with business.
It breaks faith with Defence.
It breaks faith with overseas aid.
It’s all about disguising the disastrous effects of the Carbon Tax and giving a semblance of prosperity to the few that might vote Labor again.
